They Change The Composition Of Their Meals
Let’s face it, the pain of being hungry all the time is not sustainable. In fact, it’s hugely detrimental to both your physical and mental health. Healthy weight loss is not about deprivation. In order to lose weight, without counting calories and while always feeling satiated, you can follow the recommendations of Dr. John McDougall.
I highly recommend reading his book, The Starch Solution. However, in a nutshell his program for Maximum Weight Loss is a whole foods plant based diet. You begin each meal with soup, fruit or salad. Fill your plate with 50% low calorie density foods, (i.e. salads or steamed veggies), and 50% higher calorie density foods, (i.e. lentil stew). Eat the lowest calorie rich part of your meal first. By employing this method you are filling your stomach with nutritious fiber, vitamins and minerals and the best part? On this regimen you eat as much as you want.

They Keep it Real
People who successfully achieve their weight loss goals keep it real in two ways. One, they stick to REAL food. Not gimmicky weight loss bars or zero calorie soups. They eat fresh fruit, fresh veggies, drink plenty of water and enjoy whole grains like brown rice, quinoa and oats.
They also keep it real by being super honest and gentle with themselves. Change is hard. There’s no need to berate yourself when you make a mistake. Everyone does that! Everyday is a fresh start and a new opportunity to crush your goals. Being gentle with yourself is also important, making progressive steps towards a healthier lifestyle is better than a drastic change that leaves you confused, hungry and susceptible to a binge.
They Have A Plan
Once you have a goal, you need a plan. The old adage rings true, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Meal prep for weight loss is the best way to set yourself up for success.
