Category: Yoga’s Yamas and Niyamas

A series dedicated to exploring the yamas and niyamas, which are Patanjali’s two first limbs of yoga. The yamas teach us what behaviour to avoid, and the niyamas teach us what virtues to focus on. This series will first explore the yamas first, which are: ahimsa, satya, asteya, brahmacharya and aparigraha. Then it will explore the niyamas, which are: saucha, santosha, tapas, svadhyaya and ishvara pranidhara.
