Simplify Your To-Do List
Often, one of the biggest sources of overwhelm is having endless to-do lists. Overwhelm inevitably leads to procrastination, which only makes the problem worse.
Planner Pad’s ‘funnel down’ system will totally revolutionize your ability to get sh*t done! It’s an organizer that works like a funnel to categorize, prioritize, and then schedule what needs to be done and when. It’s easy to use and focuses all your activities, leaving more time for the things that are important in life.

Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle
This year, and every year, your health needs to be one of your top priorities. Everything else in your life improves when you take care of yourself first.
When it comes to our health, we often focus on eating less and working out more. While this might be a recipe for weight loss, health is so much more than what’s on the scale. Having abundant energy, clear skin and smooth digestion will not only make you more productive, but it will greatly increase your quality of life.
Become Debt Free
Money can be a big source of stress. If you have debt, I highly recommend you read Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover which you can check out here.
Dave Ramsay’s baby steps method has helped millions of people become debt free, so they can enjoy the financial peace and security they deserve.
Set Yourself A No Complaining Challenge
A few years ago, I realized just how much I was complaining. I set myself a 24 hour challenge to stop complaining and was shocked at just how many times I had the urge to complain in this short window of time! It made me realize that a part of me enjoyed complaining, but that without some much needed discipline in this area, it was getting to be too much. I challenge you to stop complaining for the next 24 hours. Instead, focus on being thankful for the good things in your life. Trust me, shifting your focus from complaining to thankfulness will relieve a lot of stress, and help you attract more good things.
Limit Screen Time
All the voices you’re exposed to on the news and via social media platforms really contribute to your overall feelings of stress and anxiety. Think about how you can limit your exposure to it. I recommend cutting down on one platform at a time. You’ll be amazed at how much more time you have available to you when you stop scrolling 🙂
Simplify Your Life by Decluttering
Marie Kondo’s Konmari method is a great place to begin your own de-cluttering journey. Any time you spend de-cluttering the amount of stuff is well spent, because your physical environment greatly impacts your state of mind. Decluttering can also mean getting out of toxic relationships, replacing bad habits with healthy ones and setting healthy boundaries.
Embrace the power of NO
Speaking of healthy boundaries, why not make 2021 the year where you embrace the power of saying no? If you find yourself being too kind and saying yes to too many things, then it’s time to set boundaries. You can still be kind, but let them know why you can’t come or help them with something.
How many books do you read on average? Last year, I was so proud to have read 31 books! I always loved reading as a child, but stopped doing it in my early twenties. Back in 2018, I decided to get back into it and have been reading between 20 and 30 books a year ever since. Reading is truly an investment in yourself as books can help to de-stress, educate and inspire you. Get your hands on books that you can lose yourself in, and enjoy.
I hope these eight steps help you simplify your life in 2021. Will you be trying any of them out? Let me know in the comments below!
